BRONX RAPPER ICE SPICE NAMED ‘BET AMPLIFIED’ ARTIST FOR DECEMBER 2022

BET closes out the year with Bronx rapper, Ice Spice, as its BET Amplified artist for December 2022. BET Amplified is BET Music's stamp of approval on the next big thing in music. Relatively new to the game, Ice Spice’s infectious singles, “Munch (Feelin’ U)” and “Bikini Bottom” quickly propelled the Bronx-drill rapper to massive critical acclaim and viral success both on the charts and across various social media platforms. You may have recently seen her on the BET Hip Hop Awards” 2022 red carpet or as a special guest on “Rap City ‘22,” but with her continual rise to fame this is only the beginning.

As a BET Amplified artist, Ice Spice will receive BET Music’s support across multiple BET campaigns and platforms, including BET, BET Her, BET Jams, BET Soul, BET.com, BET Socials, and BET’s Official YouTube Page.

Previous BET Amplified artists include Babyface Ray, Blxst, Coi Leray, DIXSON, Doechii, GloRilla, Kalan.FrFr, Lehla Samia, Masego, Muni Long, Nardo Wick, Snoh Aalegra, Tems, Young Stunna, and many more!

In just a few short months, Ice Spice established herself as one of the most notable names in the rap game. As of this month, Ice Spice’s infamous debut record “Munch (Feelin’ U)” has racked up over 79 million global stream. Additionally, "Munch" earned critical praise from The New York Times, Pitchfork, Rolling Stone, Spotify, The FADER, REVOLT, Billboard’s Hip-Hop Rookie Of The Month, Vevo Artist to Watch for 2023 and many others. Her follow-up single, “Bikini Bottom,” is already over 17 million streams in just under a month, receiving similar raves with Pitchfork stating “she dishes out stream-of-consciousness queries. Her lines are tongue twisters, raced through with barely a breath in between,” while the NY Times raved “she raps in that already-signature flow that’s somewhere between a rap and a whisper.” Ice Spice's road to stardom accelerated with "Munch," but she's been buzzing in NYC for a long time. She first gained attention with "No Clarity," a bite-sized banger that decries the lack of communication in a relationship, and the soul-sampling "Name Of Love," which Ebro featured as his "discovery of the day" on Apple Music Radio. With more music on the way, the effortlessly rising superstar is just getting started and the Bronx-born It Girl is here to stay.
