QUEENS NYC FEMCEE SWINDERELLA IS READY TO TAKEOVER THE FEMALE RAP SCENE
Queens, NYC has given us some of the most talented artists in the game. Nas, 50 Cent and even rap queen Nicki Minaj, all hail from the iconic New York City borough. Swinderella, a fellow Queens, NY rapper is ready to shake up the industry. While paying homage to urban classics through remixed songs, Swinderella brings her own raunchy flair to her music. Although she's an independent artist, Swinderella's consistency has easily made her a new fan favorite. The young artist is ready put on for the ladies as she gets fans, followers and haters ready for the Swinderella takeover!
1. Where are you from? How long have you been rapping?
Been rapping since the age of 8
2.How you’d get your rap name? What made you want to start rapping?
I got my artist name because I'm known to finesse guys and I think I’m a princess. Rapping was always my dream.
3. What song was like your first hit record?
Act Bad
4. Early rap influences? Who are some of your Hip Hop favorites?
Stack Bundles, Kodak Black, Nicki Minaj, G Herbo
5. Your song “Jump Off” pays homage to female rapper Lil Kim. What inspired you to recreate that record?
I felt like that record went crazy when Kim and Nicki did it. I feel like it really set the tone and I want them to know I’m coming to set the tone too !
6. "Girls Dem Sugar" by Mya and Beenie Man is dope record to remix as well. How important do you think it is for new artists to tap in to older sounds?
I think it’s very important.
7. Even though you’re a new artists, you seem to be building a consistent empire with the videos, music and even merch. What else can fans expect from Swinderella?
They need to know I’m coming harder than ever and I promise I won’t disappoint.
8. What do you think of the current female Hip Hop scene?
I’m very impressed.
9. Who are some of your favorite underground artists? Or dream collabs?
My favorite underground artists are 26ar & Kay Flock.
10. How would you describe your sound?
I got my own sound .
11. 2020 took an unexpected turn for the worse with the Coronavirus outbreak. Has the pandemic affected your music career at all?
It hasn’t affected me at all, it actually made me go harder.
12. Any 2021 music goals?
To have 20 videos out by the end of the year and expand in my career as much as possible.
