YUNG BABY TATE BITES BACK AT HITMAKA'S "PUSSY RAP" TWEET

Atlanta femcee, Yung Baby Tate pushed her pen to address, producer Hitmaka's latest tweet about female rappers. The artist-turned-producer, is credited for hits like "Mind Yo Business" by Lakeyah and Latto, Dangerous by Meek Mill, PNB Rock and Jeremih and more. He's also responsible for the single "ThotBox' featuring Dream Doll, Dreezy, Latto, Chinese Kitty and Young MA, which Baby Tate mentions in her recent diss to Hitmaker. This diss comes after Hitmaka tweeted, "Cant wait to work with a pretty female rapper that's strictly about bars to even the playing field. Pussy rap was cool when it had shock value & was rare. Now it's like every girl taking it there. It's sum who aren't but they need a hit producer for impact."

Baby Tate wasted no time responding with a freestyle video posted to her Tik Tok. With her quirky, cute delievery, Tate comes at Hitmaka for his role in female rap and the constant criticism female rappers recieve from men. She also takes a stance on her artistry, saying "Yes, i rap 'bout pussy, but i'm not a pussy rapper." Watch the full freestyle, with subtitles, below.

Hitmaka has since deleted his tweet but later went on to say "The conversation has started, and that's all that matters." Baby Tate is just one of the many female rappers that have stood up against misogyny in Hip Hop. Other femcees like Latto, Lakeyah and KenTheMan have also made statements about the unfair standards in the industry. In 2023, let's challenge artists to push their pen more in hope of creating great records!
